I have been instructed to implement a Smart Card Security System on our network of 20 computers with 1 Domain controller.  All of our systems are Windows 2000 SP3 Any advice on Smart Card systems and what might be the Best system with the least "Administrative Effort"?

Two companies I was considering going with are....

Gemplus and SchlumbergerSema

Gemplus mentioned that Microsofts incorporated certificate services was pretty weak and that their implementation middleware was much better.

Any ideas?  Please feel free to show off if you have had any success, cause I am just learning.

We use ActivCard smart cards with our XP laptops.  Administrative setup seems to be a little high, but that is probably due to the full hard drive encryption with PointSec.
