Great job!!

Do you have any feedback from your exam experience you want to share.  Is it still 4 cases?

yeah, it's still 4 cases/40 q total.  i don't really care for the case study thing and i'm glad it's over.  being strong in 216, of course, will be the biggest help ever.  know your dns and subnet calcs.  it was a bear! good luck spid Smiley

awesome job! Feels good to knock those tests out of the way, huh?

SQL next? More power to you. There is a test I stand no chance of ever passing Smiley

... but I am sure that you will be as succesfull with it as you have been with the previous ones! Smiley

thanks guys - i feel so much better with this one out of the way.  the subject matter was very dry to me and hard to get through (just from boredom). i wish i had taken it immediately after 216, but oh well, no more design yuck until the mcdba - ooooo that's only one exam away!  no rest for the weary Smiley

hey i'm on the same track, just in a different order - i'm going to try and knock out the mcdba stuff then on to ccna.  i'm entertaining the comptia stuff in the back of my mind also - i sort of skipped over it and now feel like i probably should go ahead and add more letters to my resume Smiley

 Congrats
This was a tedious one for sure for me also, and I like design oriented study.
I'm not sure if I were you I'd bother with the comptia tests unless you looking at CTT
or Security+ and maybe server+.
The rest will not provide you with much challenge or prestige at your current level.
 Those being net+ A+ or Inet+.
I did the Security+ beta to help prep for CISSP and it was quite challenging.
Also I have been told Linux+ was somewhat challenging.

Thanks for the input - I am wavering on the A+ / Net+ stuff.  For the most part, I have the skills required to pass those exams already and have had them for a while.  It is starting to look like (to me) if a person has achieved the MCxx certs and is looking for a job to utilize them, A+ isn't going to make much difference in the grand scheme of things.  We'll see.  I would like to learn about Linux - as soon as I can get a new hard drive I intend to install Linux on it's own partition and take it from there.

Yeah, A+, N+, etc. aren't a good move after MCSE. You'd be better served by the CCNA or perhaps the Linux+.

I got net+ after the MCSE NT4 I didn't even study and did well.
The most enjoyable test I have taken in recent memory was the security+.
Much of what you learn is a real eye opener from a networking standpoint.
I think that these days anything to do with security will win points with potential employers.
You seem to have the right skill set to go into network security.
Solid Network design skills play well into designing a secure network envirnment.
