You've assumed that we're all "young  ladies"....I'm  definitely not young and I  don't get called  a lady very  often either.   But thanks for the compliment, no matter how misguided it  may have been.

Hmmmm.....

Well I will not be drug BACK into hip huggers and bell bottoms for all the money in the world!!!!!!!!!

Sad Does this mean I am getting old?

What made me feel the oldest is when I inherited my 14 year old daughters hand me down t-shirts... AND THEY WERE TOO BIG!...or when she wasn't able to wear my shoes anymore because they were too SMALL!!!!

I remember when she use to play dress up and her whole foot fit in the toe of my shoes!!!
I remember when my t-shirts were her night shirts.... now its the other way around!!!

My how time flies!!!!!

I think you're no longer a "young lady" when you start to refer to other women as "that young lady".  Or....when salespeople call you Ma'am.....yech!

Then yes I am getting there.  I am called Ma'am alot but I have just started refering to other women as young lady and they are few and far between.

IT was weird for me not to see women younger then me as adults and not *kids* any more.

But when my *baby* brother and sister-in-law (both have large age gap between me and my husband.)   both turned 21 I had to admit that they were adults.  Heck my sister in law even has a child now.  I griped that she was to young to be a mom till my Step-mom pointed out that she was almost 2 years older then I was when I became a mom.  (SO she still was too young.  Smiley )

Another hard one was when my son started school.  Before he went off to school he always told me that he was glad he had a *young* *cool* mom.  Suddendly I was old and uncool because his teacher was younger and cooler then I.  AHH stab me in the back son Sad

I live in the Southern US. Most people call people here call all females Ma'am. It took me awhile to get used to it since I am one of those "damn yankees" (northerners that moved here and stayed).
Even though I am close to 50 though I am petite so I don't quite look my age  and once in a great while I still get carded. I just show the pics of my grandchildern. LOL

Close to 50!!!

Did you touch up that photo? I know it's only a small avatar, but I'd have said nearer 40.

Anyways you're all young ladies as far as I'm concerned, the internet makes you all ageless.

No touch up, I have aged well.
It was those 14 years waitressing in an adult  club that kept me in shape. Besides all of us women are like wine, We just get better with age.
