Hi

I'm doing the exam on Friday. I have the Transcender for this exam but have noted the it's not recommended. So whats up with it? Are the transcender questions nothing like the exam? Is transcender OK just for a bit of practice question taking. I'm using the Microsoft training kit to brush up on my weak points.

Exactly, they are nothing like the questions on the exam. Not even the slightest bit similar.

Would it not be defeating the object if you could use a test engine that had the actual exam Q's in it?  Is there one out there that does?

That would be cheating, not defeating Wink

Transcender is usually a very good indicator of readiness, but falls short on the 218.  The questions they have in the 218 Transcender had me scratching my head as they had nothing to do with 218.  It felt like Transcender Corp just took 20 questions from each of the other tests (210, 215, 216, and 217) and sold them as 218.  218 is more troubleshooting than anything else.

Pavlov: I think you might be right on that. I am currently using EasyCert right now, let's see how this works out.

Use EasyCert instead of Transcender for this exam...

Good luck!

First post here.

I also noticed Transcender was not what I expected it to be for this exam, glad to see I'm not the only one.

An instructor I know told me the Sybex MCSA/MCSE: Windows 2000 Network Management Study Guide was one of the best for the 70-218. So far, I've been pretty happy with it.

I have to agree... The Sybex study guide is much better than the "official" MS Pres book. Sybex and EasyCert did the job for my 70-218 exam Smiley

I agree with Pavlov. I've been studying for my 218 for 2 weeks now, partly by using the transcender and noticed that I'd come across a lot of the question previously in the 210, 215 and 216 transcender tests.
I'm takeing the exam at the end of July, does anyone have a link for easycert?

Hey Light, are you used EasyCert for 70-218? Is it good for 70-218 as is for 70-215 and 70-210?

Hi,

C'mon guys,

IMHO, Transcenders not only test your readiness for the exam...

In many times, I used to learn concepts, or misunderstood concepts, mostly those concepts applied to scenario based questions, etc...
