Can anymore out there comment on 216 and 218? They two exams seem very similar in the material that is tested. I am taking 218 next and was reading through the Exam Cram for 216 and it is very similar.

By the way passed 210 today. I skipped it and went straight to 215. I think 215 is easier. The more test I take I realize that MS has no idea about real world scenarios. Some of the compression crap they test on I wouldn't think twice about.

On your pass.

216 and 218 are completely different in content and approach.

216 Concentrates on the entire structure of Microsoft networking (RRAS, DDNS, DNS WINS, DHCP even UNIX BIND (All those acronyms we know and love)) from the implementation perspective.

218 is the troubleshooting exam that uses the approach of ‘«£This is not working, what‘«÷s wrong or how will you fix it‘«ō

216 is the deciding exam if you should hold the MCSE certificate and 218 is the equivalent for MCSA.

216 Deserves the reputation of being the hardest of the cores so don‘«÷t underestimate it. Some have said that 218 is a push over, I thought it to be the most direct exam of the 2000 track so far but don‘«÷t take it lightly as it may surprise you.

Hope this helps.

Congrats on the pass! In comparison with 218, 216 is a BEAST and I don't think these exams are similar! Cheesy

Btw what materials are you using to prepare for 218? I'm going to take this exam next week.
