There's much more than to XP then just the GUI.  Otherwise what would be the point in upgrading???  Some might argue that there isn't....  Cheesy  XP has a lot of new features, addded goodies, and such...  some might say it's just MS Bloatware, but I think XP is a pretty decent OS. But if you're happy with 2000, I don't think there's any huge benefit to upgrade to XP.  But if you're running 98 or ME (yuck!) then upgrading would be a great idea!  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

Yeah, I know it is a lot "bigger" than 2K, but was just wondering what some of the major differences were, since I didn't notice much that was obviously different except the desktop look. I suppose I was also wanting to know whether an MCP in Win2K would be useless after XP has become accepted?

Man I hope not!!!  I can't see 2000 being phased out, but who knows with MS.  They're always forcing things on us.  But 2000 is in it's prime, I don't think it'll be going anywhere for a while!

Not that I think XP is bigger or better than 2K.  But some added features are built-in internet firewall, remote desktop, driver rollback (love this feature!!!), faster logon & overall faster OS response, better support for direct X & graphics cards, better support for games, better support for cd-writers, system restore, cleartype, better application compatability (or so Microsoft says), enhanced Windows update... to name a few.  Oh, I almost forgot the clincher, Windows Media Player 8!!!!:D Cheesy Cheesy
This App complete with the new Xbox skin is worth the upgrade to WinXP alone! Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy
