I'm a MCSE who qualified on the NT4 track. My electives at the time were 70-076 (Exchange 5.0) and 70-059 (TCP/IP). I've passed the 70-240 upgrade exam and I'm about to sit the Design one.

Bearing in mind my original electives are now discontinued, does that mean I have to sit 2 new ones as well, to become an MCSE 2000, or not?

Can anyone help?  The MS site is useless.

If you check MS website http://www.microsoft.com/traincert/mcpexams/status/examsretired.asp
it says that the exams have been discontinued but there is NO candidate requirement to retain certification. Therefore I would say they stand! It certainly the gist of all postings articles in mcpmag, etc

You have to pass one more design exam only.

No need to sit for electives.
