Hi,
I need to move my existing exchange server 5.5 to a new computer on Windows2000 server with a new netbios name. Earlier I was running my secondary DNS and Exchange server on the same machine but now I wish to seprate the two. For this i do not wish to change the machine name for the secondary name server as it calls for changing the entries in my ISP's server.

Can I move my exchange server on new computer with new netbios name ? I plan to perform offline recovery using .EDB files. I can manage the changes for client profiles and MX entries ...

Thought you had to upgrade to Exchange 2000 to be able to use Win2k Server because of the active directory structure. Can someone please verify !
