Just moved to Austin after 4 yrs in Air force and my job is not what I expected. I guess its all the layoffs. I have 4 yrs experience computer/Network support and now I have a job as Computer support tech making 13.00 / hr. Does anyone know anybody hiring Network Support people in Austin. I interviewed at Dell for a phone tech support at up to 18 / hr but that fell through with layoffs.
Any inside knowledge of Austin Job Market??

Thanks

I checked Monster.com and it had several jobs with your qualifications.  Good Luck!

Also check out dice.com, and flipdog.com.  They both got an agent which will notify you when a job in the category and area you specify opens up.

For a lot of job sites go here:

http://www.job-hunt.org/resume.shtml

Make sure you check out the super-sites link on the left.

In 98 we moved to NT4 when I left they were ready to migrate to 2000 Server. So I worked with NT 4 Server on 2000/NT workstations. Used SMS, Exchange, IIS.

Ill keep searching...thanks.

Yeah I get to take free MS Exams up to 2000 dollars wether you fail or pass. You get reimbursed. I am going to go for my MCSE 2K.

Can it be done without going to a class? I want to take the test from just experience and reading the book.
