I was supposed to take the 70-240 exam today (Saturday, November 11). I have been studying for this exam now for about six weeks. I was prepared physically and mentally for those 4-hours of hell. I was off on Friday, and purposely scheduled this exam for Saturday, as this would give me one complete day of studying for the exam. After studying all day Friday, I decided to go to bed early, as I wanted to get plenty of rest. I woke up around 6 am and ate a good breakfast, then grabbed two nutrition bars to eat during the small break in the middle of the exam. I then studied for about two hours and headed to the location of the testing site, where I ate another small meal (must feed my overloaded brain!). I then proceeded to the testing site only to find all of the lights off! The secretary non-chalantly advised me that the power was out and to come back an hour from now. I took this in stride and studied for another hour. When I returned, the site manager told me that the power would be off for the rest of the day and all tests were cancelled.

So now I have to reschedule this exam and prepare myself once again!

Does anybody out there understand what we go through in order to prepare for and pass these exams?

AAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH!!!

Sorry about the ordeal, when do you go again??

And of course, please tell us how those study materials faired for you in the actual exam.
Not looking for braindumps, just some good pointers.
Thanks.

Tomorrow is the big exam day (Nov 15 @ 12:00). I thought it better to sit this exam during lunch time and take half a day off, instead of another weekend blown away. I would rather use part of this weekend to either study the 70-210 or 70-219 exam depending on if I pass this one. I am more interested now in just taking this exam, and getting it out of the way. Here is what I've used so far, but I'll re-post tomorrow what exactly helped the most for 70-240.

-MCSE Study System
-Win 2000 Accelerated Exam Notes
-Troytech Study Guide for 70-240
-Beach Front Quizzer Exam Prep 70-240
-MCSE2BE WIn 2000 Accelerated Exam Prep

With the information you given, my recommendation is:

Dont do it!

It is not an easy exams, and you have only 1 shoot at it.

But if you insist, I salute you have the courage to do so and I hope you pass. This will be the most unforgetable exams.

God bless you.

Thanks to everyone for wishing me luck.

The way I see it:

If I pass tomorrow, then I'll be very happy of my accomplishments and the fact that I do not have to take four of the core exams.

If I fail, then I will just start from the beginning.

How much can one study? I work in NT 4.0 everday and have Win 2000 Server (Stand-Alone) installed at my place of work and at home. I've been studying for 70-240 for about six weeks total. But these past six weeks I've been studying hard. I don't want to be studying for one exam forever! I would rather go in, take the exam and chock it up to experience if I fail. Then get on with my certification track.

Just my opinion.
