Yeah, wayyyyy back.  But people seem to like that stuff. I just have to figure out how long before posting answers. Or maybe have a locked forum for posting answers.

The last company I work for requires it for all techs.
The company I am at now would like all there tech to be A+ and is working on a 3year plan to do so.

The military usually "encourages" all its IT people to get the A+ and Net+. If you work in any level of security the have a thing called the 8570.1 which requires certifications at several levels, starting with Security+ all the way to CISSP.

well only a cople of years late on this one, but the route my company likes their tech to take is A+  then CCNA. Far more usefull then the Net+ in our field.
