Nope I did not see the game this morning, just as well I suppose.
They charge an arm and a leg to subscribe to premiership games over here. I could have  gone to a Brit pub I know, but when the missus gives me a 'pass' I tend to head out to the mountains instead.

Mountains....Colorado Avatar....I take it you're not in Florida anymore then.

Yes I guess its been a while.
My transfer to Slough finally came through, and then a position in Colorado opened up.

I agonised for seconds and seconds over that one. Wink

So at the last second, Slough turned you down.  That's just cruel and to think you could have had the delicious smell of Mars  Bars right on your doorstep. Wink

And just think of the fun you could have had here

It's got to beat This Place anyday of the week. Wink

A poem

Come friendly bombs and fall on Slough!
It isn't fit for humans now,
There isn't grass to graze a cow.
but its not as bad as Colorado now
Swarm over, Death!

Given the weather this year, I'd guess you've encountered a bit of system shock.  Have you dug out yet?

We actually had some winterlike weather in Lower Alabama, but then I know people in Massachusets who came to visit during some of our "cold" and while we were wearing parkas, they were wearing sweaters.

And this is just about my favorite photo of the guys, and they don't have a website yet; that's on that list of things to do that keeps getting back-burnered.

Yup, Bit sick of digging out in the mornings, with the drift we had close to five foot of snow in front of the house before Christmas. Made for great snow tunnel/cave fun with the kids.

One of my friends has relatives in Denver and she sent me some photos--just unreal!  I remember days like that from my childhood and occasionally wish for a bit of snow.  Maybe when the kids are a little older I can take a job with some travel and get back to some snow sometimes.

We had a couple of inches of snow the other week, of course Britain(sorry England) ground to an absolute halt.  To think that 20 years without proper snow and we've forgotten what to do. Smiley

There are parts of the US that have ground to a halt due to snow--that is, parts of the US that normally DO get snow.  They've had much more of it this year in New England and the Midwest and Western areas than they normally do.  In our region, the southeast, we'd grind to a halt with two inches of snow as well; we just don't have any snow-removal equipment because accumulated snow is a once-in-25-years event for us.
