Hello,

i've done A+ a few years ago and want to start on the MCSA track with th 70-290 exam.  I have heard that testking is a good place for testing material, but I was just wondering what people would recommend for the person just starting out.  I do have experience in networking with 2000 server.

Thanks

I have training in 2000 server and I am finding it fairly easy to adapt to newer concepts in the 2003 version of server. Hopefully your experience with 2000 server will carry over to 2003.

I'd recommend using 2 sources for reading. I usually get a really in depth book such as one from MS Press or Sybex. As well as, getting a book that isn't so in depth, such as Mike Meyer's passport books or Exam Cram books.

Go to bookpool.com and search for books on the subject and read the reviews to find exactly what you want.

Just remember, not every technical book is perfect and just because one person says the book is horrible, doesn't mean it really is horrible.

Also, you will find a lot of resources on the web relating to the 70-290 test....in other words...just "google" it.

I used Sybex and MS Press for 290 and passed with 812 last week.  I would recommend doing 270 first as the only real difference is Terminal Services. This is also for the MCSA...
