I recently installed 2003 Server on two machines. Once installed on the first one I went through the server role and installed Active Directory, and seemed to go flawless. I set up the domain, as a domain.local as I am just using for testing, no internet. The problem is lying when I try to join the other computer as an additional domain controller. Everything seems to be going ok, it asks me what domain to join and I browse and shows the domain. But as it starts to write to Active Directory. I get a error saying that it cannot write to the Active Directory on the first machine. Am I missing something (DNS records, etc...) Unfortunately I am on 2000 pro now and cant get the exact error message.Sad
