Hi Everyone

I hope you guys can help me

I have a IBM server x200 running w2K server and exchange server 2000 and I want to upgrade the server to IBM x206
But I dont want to reinstall and reconfigure anything
My question is it possible to take out the hard disk from the x200 and install in the new x206

I have found an article on the Microsoft website it says something about repairing windows setup

Has anybody try this before !!!

I don't know about the hardware upgrade but I would bet that you could sysprep your current server, image it and try it on a different hardware platform for testing.

When you install the image to the new server, the syspreped image will do a redetect of all hardware on the server. Its worth testing...
