Took 228 on 4/1/2005 and 229 on 4/4/2005.  Used hands-on experience for both exams.  These two exams are not too bad if you understand the principles.  They are however, more difficult than the core MCSE exams.

I'd think just the opposite, that the SQL Admin test would be easier than the SQL Dev test... but you're about the tenth person I've heard say 229 is easier, so guess I'm wrong.

Scheduled today to take it on the 25th. Have the second edition of Microsoft Press book which will be finishing up next week, otherwise relying on my experience. Was surprised the Readiness Review sample test included on the book's CD kept crashing after I upgraded the .NET framework. It's bad enough my old VS 6.0 apps don't work anymore, but they can't even keep their new .NET apps working...

anyway, will add my comments after taking test, pass or fail. Wink

Guess it all depends on your background... I'm a network guy, not a programmer and found 228 to be way easier than 229.
