I am looking for a helpdesk system of an enterprise network. There are around 1500 Users(workstations) in the network. Anybody can recommend me which are the best helpdesk systems in todays market? I had heard that remedy is good one. Any other recommendations?

If you like open source (I use this program daily!), check out:

It's fully functional and can be customized if you know a bit of HTML and some basic .ASP scripting.  However, it works great "out of the box".

We use 3 systems and have about 8,000 support staff plus some customers directly use the helpdesk software themselves.

they are Old Remedy, New Remedy and RMS Servicedesk...Although there is a newer version of RMS available now.

Talking to everyone on the Helpdesk who log calls and people on the Comms, Server and Ops teams RMS is the preferred one and it is also cheaper, much more user friendler too.

Hope this helps
