Situation: Windows NT domain. One PDC, one DNS.... The PDC is also running Exchange 5.5. with latest service pack. The PDC is also running Service Pack 6a.

We would like to upgrade/migrate the NT domain to 2003 Active Directory and the Exchange 5.5 to Exchange 2003. I have been reading a lot of articles and books but I sill have a question ?

What is the best way/recommended way of migrating the Exchange 5.5 to Exchange 2003.

1) To create trust between the new AD domain to NT domain first ?

2) other ..please help out ....

Here is a good starting point for your upgrade.  Read it carefully and follow up on the links offered on the same page.  Smiley

Maybe I'm just moaning for nothing but why do some people always post in the quote what the person has just asked and then replies. Why not just reply, I don't have to scroll through the same text twice..........that's my moan over

Bring up a second computer as a BDC, even if it's just a workstation-class system.  If something goes terribly wrong when you upgrade the OS, then you'll have a spare with the accounts on it.

Good question.

Or you could just be screwed like me with SBS 4.5.
