Not necessary, but sometimes antivirus software interferes with some software installs if it is running in the background. It's not necessarily the fault of either piece of software.

But if for example the install instructions advised that the antivirus software was stopped before install and that wasn't done, Weeellll?

Now if there was no such warning, then maybe they should in their next release Wink

Actually, I found there is a error message in the event view show that Norton for exchange can not log on, but I was stupid and crazy at that moment. I thought it was the Exchange 2000 damaged by GFI anti-spam. At the next morning I suddenly remind this issue and have a strong feeling that I should try uninstall Norton for Exchange, so it work.

It seems that "come down and have a clear thought" is very important when such kind of serious problem happen. This accident taught me a lot.
