I am currently making a career change into the IT industry.  Most of my career I have been the "unofficial" go-to person for computer problems and I finally decided to get paid for it.

I researched many of the certification schools in my town and found that New Horizons had an excellent job placement program (97% placement) and a partnership with Microsoft. They also have a pass/fail guarantee which means that if I fail an exam, they pay for me to take it again until I pass.  When I finish my certifications, I begin an internship program and then I will have a few job options available to me.

I considered studying alone, but by going to school I have access to resources and instructors and that has proven invaluable.

Total cost for A+, Network+, MCSE, MCSA: Security is $11,000 us plus the costs of tests.

That is basically how I have done it as well.

Seems to have been a postive step for me for at this point.

Best of Luck!
