1  General discussions / General Discussion / wtf? on: November 19, 2007, 09:33:03 PM
BC has a lot of old ghost towns going back to gold/silver rush days of the mid/late 1800's. I know thats just yesterday to people from an ancient culture such as yours but it seems like a long time ago to me.

at any rate... this kind of seems like a ghost town, but its nice to see some survivors still here:)

I've been busy trying to eek a living out of alberta's oil patch. in a way its kind of exciting. you get to mingle with people and catch diseases from all over the world.

the americans are still chipping away at our democracy and will probably have enslaved us by the mid-point of the next decade.

I was hoping to tour the castles of old scotland and see what my ancestors were all about but maybe thats best put on hold until the shitstorm clears.

hope all is well and best wishes.

btw, vista is a bit of a frustration.

i'm wishing i had persevered with linux.

5  General discussions / General Discussion / Who is This Guy? on: January 02, 2007, 12:31:26 AM
Just who is this "jaffchang" character?

He's a rather excentric little oriental. the last time I saw him he was drunk and heading for karioki bar on the lower east side.

He had a mexican named Irene with him, she had a drug crazed ear to ear smile, you know... that LSD look, but he did appear to be enjoying himself.

he'll turn up sooner or later, not so sure about Irene.

i've lately come to the conclusion that canadian tire is run by the mossad.

needless to say, they stuck me with a defective 6 ply, and a number of stitches...

oh well, I guess the police can figure it all out.

btw, do you guys still hate me?

I almost signed up for a $16,000.00, 5 month MCSE course, but while I was going over the details with their representative some kind of sixth sense alarm went off, she just seemed to be in a little too much of a hurry to get the money.

anyway, I was watching the news about 6 weeks later, they went out of business.

could have been worse, one guy gave them the 16 grand the day before they went under... lost it all.

btw y, nice rack:)

Hey George, how's it going?

I have decided to have a kick at c++.

its not so bad, got a c++ for dummies book, so far so good.

pointers was a slight hurdle, but google yields tons of c++ info and it seems easy to find relative to particular topic.

rock on...Wink

why not just unplug the network cable, boot the machine, press ctrl, alt, del, log on, head to task manager, kill any unwanted .exe, then connect and get online help?

I'm guessing the system restore option has been broken?
