1  Microsoft (MCSE, MCSD, MOUS, MCAD) / MCSE elective exams / note on: February 01, 2005, 12:50:51 AM
I took and passed 284 and 285.  For 284 use the MS Press book and the Transcender.  Both are excellent.  For 285 study routing, interoperability, and use Self Test Software's test for 285.  It is right in line with the actual exam.  The exams are not easy but not impossible either.
2  Microsoft (MCSE, MCSD, MOUS, MCAD) / Exchange server 2000 / Delegate control on: December 18, 2004, 06:59:25 PM
Delegate control at the org or admin levels within Exchange System Manager giving view only rights and then install the ESM on the users machines that need to administer Exchange.
3  Other IT certifications / Citrix CCA, CCEA / Passed 992 Exam with 89% on: November 13, 2004, 08:16:19 PM
Well I am a CCEA again until they retire 921 and 911 or 220.  This exam was very straighforward and easy at times.  I used the admin guide, the adv admin guide, and Citrixxperience tests(very helpful--not dumps but very good coverage of the offcial training course).  Good luck to anyone who takes it but I would worry more about 962 than any other exam(unless you take the official course).

Has anyone here taken this exam?  How was it?
5  Other IT certifications / Citrix CCA, CCEA / thanks on: July 03, 2004, 07:32:09 AM
Yeah it was a very good learning experience to say the least.  Have you taken 992 yet?
6  Other IT certifications / Citrix CCA, CCEA / Passed 962 exam(second time) on: July 01, 2004, 01:16:21 AM
This one is hard.  Almost requires the Citrix course(I did not take it of course).  You have to know the Web Int 2.0, SG 2.0, Web Int Extension guides inside out to even have a chance.  The second time I boned up on questions I saw the first time(61%) and got 81%.  You must know the communication flow of data like the back of your hand.  Lots of SG questions and some PN Agent and Web Int Ext questions.  Rate at 8 on 1 to 10 scale.  992 to go and I am recertified.
Good luck
7  Other IT certifications / Citrix CCA, CCEA / 962 anyone on: June 13, 2004, 08:12:12 PM
Has anyone taken this one yet and care to comment about it?

Yeah a guy at work has only failed one exam in his career and that was the one.  Thanks

Yeah I've yet to take 962(heard it was hard).  Good luck!
10  Other IT certifications / Citrix CCA, CCEA / Passed Password Manager 1Y0-972 on: May 29, 2004, 03:06:11 PM
Got 60 questions/90 minutes.  Got 80% and needed 68% to pass.

All in all, if you look at my previous post you'll know what I said about what I used to study(PM Admin guide and used citrixperience test questions).  A word of advice that still rings true---most of the questions were from courseware material only.  The others you could get rather easily from reading the Admin guide.  The courseware/class is the way to go.  I only took the e-course 1320AW for renewing my CCA.  The questions are easy I would assume if you take the course but I found it a moderately difficult test for Citrix since study material is sparse to say the least.  Glad it's over.
11  Other IT certifications / Citrix CCA, CCEA / right on on: May 25, 2004, 11:40:42 PM
I am a systems engineer/consultant so I may be called upon to implement it if Suzie Q at Company XYZ decides she wants it.  Good luck if you decide to take it.  The admin guide is only OK for this one as I have purchased a practice exam from and it covers a LOT of material that is straight from the CTX course.  If you can't go to the course like me you may want to invest in the practice exams.  They are actually really good and cover tons of stuff not in the Admin Guide.

Anyone thinking of doing this one?  I want to take it some time soon but not sure when.  Anyone used it in production?  I'd be interested to hear about it.

13  Microsoft (MCSE, MCSD, MOUS, MCAD) / Server 2003 / Use AD on: April 21, 2004, 11:03:41 AM
Exchange mailboxes since Exch 2000  are just attributes of a user account.  Enable all advanced features of the AD Users and Computers snap-in and find the Exchange tabs.
