Thanx everyone for the congrats...

To: luisjo.......For A+ studies I used [(Mike Meyers A+ All-in-One, and Passport for A+),(Marcraft's A+ Certification Concepts & Practice, second and third editions), and (Syngress/Osborne's A+ Certification study guide)].

I'm up for any suggestions and recommendations for study material(s) for Net+ (yes, including the one you gave me luisjo...Smiley )

Core = 929
OS   = 983

Wish me luck on beginning step #2, ...which is beginning studies for Net+.

Have you tried using AMD's "cpuinfo" utility?  It may tell you what you want to know. here's the link for it

Here's another utility for AMD called "cpuid".

You might try that one.

Good luck

I would have to go with A & D......

When you boot up a pc with the mouse unplugged, like in Win98 (for example), after Win98 boots up, it will tell you no mouse was detected and that if you have a serial mouse that it is safe to plug it in.

I've seen it firsthand when I was updating to new motherboard and found that my ps/2 mouse port was already bad.

Hope this helps.....try it for yourself.
