1  General discussions / Programming Forum / I need help with my logic. on: October 08, 2006, 03:54:09 PM

I am new at this and just needs some guidance.

While we are on the subject... Does every device have 2 or more memory range? Mike Meyers didn't point this out in his book but did state that it was important to understand. I have 2 memory range for each device attached example,
HP keyboard [00000060-00000060]
System speaker [00000061-00000061]
HP Keyboard [00000064-00000064]
Secondary IDE Channel [00000170-00000177]
Secondary IDE Channel [00000376-00000376]

Please help me to understand. Thanks
4  CompTIA / A+ forum / Scanner devices on: July 31, 2003, 10:10:08 PM
Its a HP scanner, therefore the devices were already installed on the HP. All I did was plug it into the USB port and it recognized it. With the scanner attach, I have to restart the cable modem, or disable and enable to get a fresh connection

That's okay I am not ready to re-install as yet. I am waiting until I get my other pc.

Thanx for all the response.

Yes it is... My Internet connection seems slower whenever I attach the USB Scanner

Currently my NIC and USB are sharing IRQ 19, IRQ 7 is available, how do I change the NIC to IRQ 7? I am using XP-Home. Thanks
7  CompTIA / A+ forum / No I am not joking. on: July 27, 2003, 06:25:43 PM
I am asking a simple question. I look at my Device Manager and I have listed under the IDE ATA/ATAPI Controllers:
Intel(r)82801AA Bus Master IDE Controller
Primary IDE Channel
Secondary IDE Channel

My hard drive is a Maxtor 4D040H2 I have no other hardware besides my CD-R/RW on my compauter, therefore I am asking for clarity on whether the correct answer is 2 or it is 4. I don't know that's why I am asking. Reading the thread doesn't clear up the question either. So help a newbie out.

Does this means that you can add 2 devices to the primary controller and 2 to the secondary controller? Making a total of 4 devices?

I just found out that someone has been logging into my Yahoo account while I am also logged in. This person change my password and Yahoo put me through the ringer to prove the account belongs to me.
There are so lonely people out there. I truly hope the government makes an example out of that company in Florida for causing that girl's death.
