I agree MS take good ideas and makes them there own.I'm gonna through the CCNA stuff and I agree it is more unique. But then again majority of comopanies work in a MS environment and you just can't ignore the stuff simply because one is better than the other.

Well done.
If you are feeling burned out I would really consider taking a few months off from heavy duty study. It takes alot of energy and time to get the MCSE exams.I finished my exams back in June and woz burned out too.
I have only being lightly looking at the CCNA stuff.
I think you know yourself when you get the appetite back. Then you will get back in to it.

8  General discussions / General Discussion / Any advice... on: July 12, 2002, 05:45:23 AM
Hi all,

Looking for some career advice here.I'm currently a build engineer with a large company, but want to move into the IS/Net Admin side of things.I got my MCSE,I told my boss last year that I wanted to move into another position.Since then my boss has been promoted,no longer my boss.
I have a new boss for the last few months,in this dodgy climate I don't want to burn my bridges yet I really want a change of direction.

Any tips on walking on egg shells ;-)))

9  General discussions / Certifications and IT jobs/Salaries / EMC Study material ???????? on: July 12, 2002, 05:39:23 AM
I have a friend who works there and he has to go on internal courses to get the study material. If your company is a business partner with EMC that may help you to sign up with them for their courses.
It would be nice if their track was available as per se the MCSE track

10  General discussions / General Discussion / World Cup Champions - who will win? on: June 24, 2002, 08:31:12 AM
I was hoping England would sort out Brazil.
They are way too sure of themselves.I'm a big Man U fan...support Beckham,Scholes,Butt.
Alas England somehow ran out of ideas to break down a Brazil side with 10 men.
There seem to be a bit of heart and passion missing, maybe that's something Sven should work on,being a cold calculated Swede maybe he has removed the passion from England's play.
Well I wouldn't be too gutted,ye got beaten by a more skillfull side,ye didn't go out on penalties...yet ye did go out with a whimper rather than a bang. That's more worrying.

Well done on passing...I got my MCSE 2 weeks ago and I have so much spare time on my hands I don't know what to do with it.
It's great not having to dive from work into study every evening ;-))
Enjoy your break I know I will ;-))
13  General discussions / General Discussion / World Cup Champions - who will win? on: June 11, 2002, 03:41:37 PM
My heart says Ireland but my mind says Brazil.
I see no responses from any French folks, must be a case of sour grapes ;-))

what about Nigeria??
15  General discussions / General Discussion / France on: June 11, 2002, 06:48:18 AM
France seemed to have no luck in this W.Cup,last time everything went their way.
They depended too much on Zidane and when he was injured they couldn't get it together.
We lost Roy Keane, but we managed to come together as a team.
It's amazing though with their strike force they got nothing.Football is a funny old game
