2  Microsoft (MCSE, MCSD, MOUS, MCAD) / 70-216 / Transcender Transtrainer on: October 22, 2004, 01:18:16 AM
i believe it's illegal to sell it. because when you opened the seal you have agreed to the TOS...
3  Microsoft (MCSE, MCSD, MOUS, MCAD) / 70-216 / Important for all on: October 22, 2004, 01:14:44 AM
i took 218 and 219 (AD Design) and left 216 for the last exam
4  General discussions / Certifications and IT jobs/Salaries / No Experience + Certificates = ??? on: July 29, 2004, 12:21:27 PM
This is my .02.

I have about 6 years of experience  in the Telecom industry before got let go in 2002. I attended the MS classes 2003 and got my MCSE 2000 along with A+,Network+,and Security+. i just landed a job here as a Network Eningeer I (or Associate Network Engineer as they call it). the company is a web hosting company.

i took a paycut to get this job..but this is what i want to do. and i'm very happy to be in this position.

so if you don't have any working experience..then i think it will be kinda hard to land anything at all...
5  Microsoft (MCSE, MCSD, MOUS, MCAD) / 70-218 / passed 218 today on: June 24, 2004, 05:26:40 PM

6  General discussions / Certifications and IT jobs/Salaries / Intense Worry on: June 12, 2004, 08:40:16 AM
I guess i'm a lucky. just got an offer yesterday: 2 weeks after i'm MCSE!

the program i went to included A+,Network+,MCSE and, Security+ and i'm done with all of them. next step would be CCNA for me.. but yes definately go with A+ first...because i know quiet a few people who have no knowledge of computer skills and are having great difficulties in Unix class!
they have no clue what DNS or DHCP is!
7  Microsoft (MCSE, MCSD, MOUS, MCAD) / 70-215 / Help with AD on: June 09, 2004, 11:56:14 PM
What area are you having difficuties with? AD is a very important topic and it is in almost all the MCSE exams, needless to say, Group Policies are equally as important.

what helped me to understand about AD structure is LSDOU for the Group Policies..and do lots of prctice exams.. and focu on AD/GPOs.
8  Microsoft (MCSE, MCSD, MOUS, MCAD) / 70-217 / test software on: June 07, 2004, 07:29:27 PM
Transcender is not that terriable, however, you are looking for the exam exam questions then it might not be the one.
In my experience, taught a lot of concepts to me which are covered in the exams. but if you want real exams questions...then Trancender is not for you.. the risks of going for troytech or testking is that the questions will change on you...and you will be SOL
9  CompTIA / Security+ / PASSED! Yeee HAA on: June 07, 2004, 06:59:13 PM
Congrats!
10  Microsoft (MCSE, MCSD, MOUS, MCAD) / Windows 2000 track general / MCSE progress on: June 07, 2004, 10:12:11 AM
i just finished MCSE 2000 earlier this month. my shedule was 2 exams a month...while in May i took 3 in total!
11  Microsoft (MCSE, MCSD, MOUS, MCAD) / 70-215 / Which practice exam is the best for 70-215 test on: June 07, 2004, 10:08:13 AM
i have to disagree on the Transcender here..because it didn't help me that much at all. i found the MS Press book as the source of most of the questions (found this out after the exam!)
but i guess Transcender is better than the others..

yes it did help me but i think the other thing that helped me more is the Sybex and Passport book i'm not sure why some of us have failed the exam...but compairing the questions with the Microsoft questions, this Security+ Test looks so unprofessional..it looks like some college freshmen wrote them.
14  CompTIA / Security+ / Passed today on: June 02, 2004, 02:57:32 PM

Isn't Troytech kinda like Testking? which most of the members frown upon here?
