Any thoughts or advice to share?
2  Microsoft (MCSE, MCSD, MOUS, MCAD) / SQL server exams / Setup a Lab on: May 29, 2005, 03:52:18 AM
I recommend setting up SQL on a machine and going through any exorcises in your books and go through all subjects mentioned to get familiar with it actually on the machine.

Almost 60 views and no posts, how do you spell apathy.

6  Microsoft (MCSE, MCSD, MOUS, MCAD) / SQL server exams / Harder 228 or 229 on: May 19, 2005, 01:12:27 AM
I always wanted to post a poll so for those that have taken both, what's harder 70-228 or 70-229 and why?
7  Microsoft (MCSE, MCSD, MOUS, MCAD) / SQL server exams / 228 down 229 left on: May 19, 2005, 01:10:18 AM
I passed the 70-228 a few days ago, wasn't really ready but figured I'ld try as I knew I could pass before the second chance expired. Passed with 725 so on to 70-229 and finally get MCSE & MCDBA.
8  Microsoft (MCSE, MCSD, MOUS, MCAD) / SQL server exams / Microsoft Test Voucher on: January 01, 2005, 12:41:28 AM
You can get vouchers such as This one from Amazon for a slight discount. They are only good for a month so I'm guessing this person got a voucher somehow (It wasn't VUE so it wasn't the Amazon one), wasn't ready, and ran out of time.
9  Microsoft (MCSE, MCSD, MOUS, MCAD) / SQL server exams / 2 Electives and I'm done on: September 09, 2004, 08:58:16 PM
I've finished all the core tests for MCSE and now I need to take care of the 2 SQL tests to to get both MCSE and MCDBA for 2K!!! I'm open for any advise from those who are or have been here.
10  Microsoft (MCSE, MCSD, MOUS, MCAD) / Server 2003 / Qod on: September 08, 2004, 11:35:51 AM
In my experience with QOD I find that the answers are wrong more than I would expect but this shows I know the material if I know whats wrong, why, and what it should be. I do however find the grammar and wording horrible and often find that to be the hardest part of the questions.
11  Microsoft (MCSE, MCSD, MOUS, MCAD) / 70-220 / 5 down 2 to go on: September 08, 2004, 11:26:23 AM
I passed the 70-220 last night with 900. It was 4 senarios, each having at least 3 drag/drop and/or tree view questions and the rest multiple guess. Passing score is 700. Now off to SQL!!!
12  Microsoft (MCSE, MCSD, MOUS, MCAD) / 70-219 / Happy 4th on: July 04, 2004, 09:39:53 PM

It would be much more helpful to asclark and others if you posted the material that you mention to be lacking or at least where to find it.

True but not a big deal.

I also believe that the time you take to post a thread on something like this you could exhaust other means of troubleshooting.  Learning by trial and error is much better than having the answer come easy in a message board.  Just my 2Cents

As dead as these boards have been it's good to see that someone even cares it's here. I don't know if it's related but this place has been dead since J.J.Black left. I don't think we should be discouraging anyone. I will agree that message boards are more for guidance more than solutions and people should be led to where the answers exist to find them for themselves, I don't think he was asking for more than that.

2 cents from a fellow dog.

This is true but if you look at how many NT organizations are still out there, a W2K certification will be a valuable asset for many years yet. The upgrade will open more doors and shows your commitment to keep up to date.
