3  General discussions / General Discussion / Help me get up to speed... on: December 14, 2009, 04:02:00 PM
Hi all,

Sorry I've been away for so long. I was sick for a couple of years, and then life just got in the way.

I'm just wondering what's been going on at Examnotes.  From all the reading I've done last night and today I get the impression the site has been sold. Did Dmitri sell it?

Does anybody know who bought it?  Was it Ben Ice?  I noticed he hasn't been around since August...

Do you guys know who the current owner of ExamNotes is? I'd just like to know if it's for sale.  I'm not saying I'll buy it because I imagine they probably want a very large sum of money for it and I really can't afford that.

It's definitely something I would consider though - I'd like to see this site brought back to its former glory. It was a force to be reckoned with in it's hayday, and I think it could be again.

No dumps.  Study and learn the material.

LPI has exams for linux certifications.

wwg - It really depends.   The MCSE is for networking using Microsoft products, and LPI is for Linux.  Are you familiar with Linux?  Do you like it?

To make you the most marketable I would go for both certs.

Okay, this is just plain funny.

Enforcer, this thread should win something.  It's the strangest funniest thread I've seen on the site.
9  General discussions / General Discussion / Question to Webmaster on: January 22, 2004, 12:26:04 AM
I just re-read my post and realized it looked as if I was saying that C e r t c i t i e s had spammed the forums or done something on the site.  While some companies have done just that - that was not the case with c e r t c i t i e s.

I have no idea how c e r t c i t i e s made its way into the word filter list here on EN exactly - I'm not even sure it had anything to do with anything that took place on this site.  I was told what happened at the time, and it seems to me that it was probably all a misunderstanding at the time or something.
10  General discussions / General Discussion / Question to Webmaster on: January 16, 2004, 03:11:29 PM
Sometimes they are edited because years ago they did something to examnotes - most often have spammed the forums in the past, and made their way into the word filter.  That's what happened with c e r t c i t i e s.
11  CompTIA / A+ forum / formatting hard drive on: January 07, 2004, 01:53:37 AM
It asks you about partitioning around the time it asks if you want to format.
12  CompTIA / A+ forum / formatting hard drive on: January 03, 2004, 02:30:12 AM
Your OS will not be listed in the Add/Remove programs list.

The reason why you get the error is that you are using Windows XP while trying to delete it off the drive.

Windows XP will format as part of its installation process.  If you go into the BIOS and set it to boot from CD, and then put your Windows XP Cd in, the installation process will start, and very soon you will come to the spot that asks you if you want to format the drive.
