1  Microsoft (MCSE, MCSD, MOUS, MCAD) / Server 2003 / How do I give a user permission to another users mailbox on Exchange server 2003? on: April 21, 2004, 03:09:26 AM
Lets say I have user A and user B on exchange server 2003.

How do I give permission to user B to access user A's mailbox on exchange server 2003? I know you can do it from the users workstation, but how do you do it from the exchange 2003 server console?

Thanks
Jay

4  Microsoft (MCSE, MCSD, MOUS, MCAD) / Server 2003 / Domain controller replication? on: February 06, 2004, 08:26:31 PM
Hi,

In NT Server 4 you could force domain synchronization. Is there a way in Server 2003 that you can force active diretoty replication between domain controllers? And is there a log file you can check to see whether the replication between domain controllers was successful or not?

Thanks,
Jay

Did you try any of the test exams before writing the test (boson, testking, transcender, etc...)? If so, which ones did you find helpful in supplementing your readings?

Thanks,
Jayson

Has the Comptia Project+ certification helped you gain employment, or further your existing position within a company?

I know PMP required a lot of experience, but is the Project+ certification as recognized as PMP?

Cheers,
Jayson
9  Microsoft (MCSE, MCSD, MOUS, MCAD) / Server 2003 / Emergency Repair Disk? on: November 03, 2003, 02:04:10 PM
Hi,

How does one create an emergency repair disk under Server 2003? The methods used in NT 4 and 2000 don't work on server 2003, and I can't seem to find any Server 2003 documentation on how to do it. Can you even perform this function on Server 2003?

Cheers,
Jayson
10  Microsoft (MCSE, MCSD, MOUS, MCAD) / Windows XP exams / Browsing published active directory folders in XP Pro on: October 03, 2003, 04:55:54 PM
When I go to my network places in XP Pro, and select entire network, I can only browse the network.

When I go to my network places in 2000 Pro, and select entire network, I can browse the network, and I can browse active directory (and see published folders and printers)

In XP and 2000, I am able to perform searchs on active directory to locate published resources. How come I am not able to 'browse' active directory for published objected in XP?

Thanks!

12  Microsoft (MCSE, MCSD, MOUS, MCAD) / Server 2003 / Publishing folders in active directory problems on: October 03, 2003, 01:03:27 PM
Hi,

I've published some shares in active directory on 2003. When I'm on a 2000 pro workstation, the only way I can find the published shares is by doing a wildcard search in active directory on the workstaion for them.

How do I get them to show up when I browse active directory? All I see now when I browse active directory from a workstaion are the default containers (domain controllers, computers, etc...).

Also, what is the "easiest" way for users to find items that are published in active directory?

Thank you!
