1  Microsoft (MCSE, MCSD, MOUS, MCAD) / 70-220 / Yeah! on: April 12, 2004, 11:49:47 AM
Passed this one with a 931!  I usually study for 2 months for an exam but this one really had me nervous because of the loooooooooooong case scenarios so i took an extra 2 months to study and i think it was the difference.  If anyone has problems with this one i would take the extra time and study and not rush this one.

3  Microsoft (MCSE, MCSD, MOUS, MCAD) / 70-216 / RRAS Question? on: July 29, 2003, 12:39:42 AM
They need to be able to share files, printers, etc and we purchased a PowerEdge 600SC (cheap) for that purpose.  I brought up your point when we were talking about buying equipment for them but the powers that be wanted a server up there.  But if i will be connecting the offices through a VPN in RRAS should i setup their server as a child domain or as a separate one?  We will need access to eachothers files.
4  Microsoft (MCSE, MCSD, MOUS, MCAD) / 70-216 / RRAS Question? on: July 28, 2003, 06:27:19 PM
Hey all...im torn on what to do.  We have our main office here in the states and we are setting up a remote office that has 3 users up in Canada.  They will eventually be joined by RRAS via VPN.  So my question is...should i create the Canada server as a child domain of our main office or a new domain all together?  Any benefits when we join them via VPN?  Thanks for your time!

7  CompTIA / Server + / Question About ESD on: March 26, 2003, 01:17:12 PM
Thanks Super!!!  That makes sense.  I knew that high humidity caused moisture to build up on components which could short them out but i didn‘«÷t think that was ESD.  I was on the line thinking that a short out from moisture wans't static discharge.  But a short out is a short out either from moisture or static.  Again thanks!
8  CompTIA / Server + / Question About ESD on: March 26, 2003, 12:35:28 PM
I read the bible and now in the process of taking prep tests to find out any areas i need to study for.  I came around this question and wanted to know your guys opinion.

ESD can be reduced by installing?

1. A UPS
2. A dehumidifier
3. Adequate grounding
4. Server Rack

The correct answer the book says is 2.  But wouldnt a dehumidifier take moisture out of the air causing more static?  Wouldnt a humidifier be the correct answer since it puts moisture in the air reducing static?  Also i take the test April 5th!
Cheesy Cant wait to get this one out of the way!  Cheesy
