1  Microsoft (MCSE, MCSD, MOUS, MCAD) / Windows XP exams / A question from the XP Prof test...... on: April 19, 2002, 04:00:54 PM
Q. You are the desktop administrator for your company. You upgrade all client computers from Windows 98 to Windows XP Professional.

A user now reports a problem. When she tries to restore her data from a backup tape created in Windows 98, Windows Backup cannot read or restore the data from the tape.

You need to enable the user to restore her data. What should you do?

A. Grant the user Allow - Modify permission on Removable Storage.
B. Import the tapes into an existing application media pool.
Log on as a local administrator and perform the restoration.

C. Create a new system media pool in Removable Storage.
Add the tapes to the media pool.
Perform the restoration.

D. Restore the data to a Windows 98 computer.
Back up the data in non-compressed mode.
Restore the data on the user's computer.

Awaiting positive responses..... please give me an explanation. It's very confusing....

8  Cisco / CCNA / Not the Boson. on: January 18, 2002, 07:52:01 AM
Buy anything by the boson's. Hey frank, i;ve tested that software this time. Its only for kids. You know, the a b c d of an exam. However, you should know all alphabets for passing an exam. The Cisco press book is the best for preparing yourself. However, you will also need a good test guide for stuyding. Transcenders are usually a good choice. But see if it fits ur pocket. Anyways, i've got the transcender test if you do want to exchange with anything else.

12  Cisco / CCNP / Congrats on your success. on: January 14, 2002, 10:44:59 AM
Hello there,

Good score on your CCNA exam.
Hands on practice is the best way to prepare for any exam. No sense using only some study guides and getting a high score.

Know your subject well and you'll pass. Better the opportunities in the industry.

15  CompTIA / i-NET+ / Answer 4. on: January 14, 2002, 10:14:32 AM
Hey....

I think QuickTime is more appropriate. Shockwave can provide you animation. I;ve done that. However, the file length is tremendous and the quality, not as good as Quick Time.
