1  General discussions / General Discussion / NFC Wins on: February 21, 2008, 09:31:42 PM
My hubby and I had a discussion just about this before the super bowl.  Apparently it's pretty uncommon for the AFC to win.. I dunno - I'm not a huge football person Smiley

Yeah I really procreatinated on this one.. I'm on maternity leave right now hoping I can squeeze these ones in before March 31st.  Does anyone know what happens if I write 292 (and pass), but don't do 296 in time?  Would I be able to just write the 2 exams required for the jump from mcsa to mcse (if its still 3 exams.. I'm really out of the loop)?

Hey, hey, I Haven't been around for a LONG time.  I actually do support for these 610 products (among hundreds of others).  Call centres are a blast.

So, it sounds like you printer server is windows 98, and all the other computers on your network are XP.  Your right, our CD's don't have nice normal INFs like most manufactures.  That's totally a pain in the  arse.

If you try those ones that tech support gave you, and they still arnt working, just install some more "standard" hp ones built right into your OS when your XP machines ask you which drivers to use.  Usually the Deskjet 870c is a good choice (for anything USB at least).  Some of the later 900 series deskjets are good too (and better image quality) then the 870.

Another option is to install the software locally with the DC 610 and then modify with the drivers settings after the fact.

Anyway, I'm sure you'll figure something out Smiley

^ I know it works in canada (I've recieved lots of free stuff from ms from this site).  Though it usually takes quite a while to ship out to you, but hey the shipping and everything you get is free Smiley

What they offer changes all the time, I know I got a XP eval edition from here once as well as a 2000 pro eval edition.

I had a problem alot like this before.  I was using a soltek MOBO/samsung ddr333 ram.  Anytime I did anything graphics intensive my computer restarted.  Ended up being a ram compatability issue so I had it exchanged for ddr400.  I was using the nforce 2 IGP though, most people steer away from that as it's alot more picky w/ram then most boards, really though, make sure there are no known ram/power/hardware issues.

I used to get my stuff automatically too.  Then when I got the security stuff in July, I had to go and request it before it would be sent.
13  General discussions / General Discussion / My VERY 1st JOB interview on: October 19, 2003, 01:53:54 PM
Job hunting truly is hell.  I spend all of September looking (about 300 resumes/coverletters) and then.. bam, one day, 3 people called me asking for interviews (and was eventually offered 2 of the jobs).  I'm sure people at my office supply store were wondering why I was going through cartridges weekly.

14  General discussions / General Discussion / What to do for supplemental income? on: October 16, 2003, 03:19:59 AM
I make really bad money where I work (call center), so I make a little extra $$ by fixing the occational network, building a few computers and setting stuff up for people.  I made $300 last week alone (+ 2 moniters and a 386 :p) + my $400 at work.  I don't have a set fee, so people just pay me whatever (usually a little cash, old computer parts, and food), and I don't really mind.
