im totally new to novell netware but have had a lot of experience with microsoft products.
i'm having a total nightmare installing novell netware 5 to my Pc ( amd 500 128 mb ram 13gb hard drive).

the problem i'm having is installing the server software. is it usual for it to take over 4 hours to install?

it seems not to be doing anything and i end up losing my cool and turn the the thing off can u help please!!!!

My guess is that it's the CD driver. I would suggest going to the CD's manufacturer's web site and grab the Netware drivers. I have a "user built-clone" system and yeah, it takes about 30 mins to install (though your not done after the install}. Curious, which choices did you make during the install?

Is it detecting your network card? I know that NW 4.11 will stop the install process if it cannot find and install your network card.
