Having never done a certification exam before, I didn't know what to expect when it came to the CNA exam.
But sweeeeeet... if you've got the course book, and play around with NWAdmin and ConsoleOne, the server and a few command line utils you'll be set.
Maybe I got an easy one, but it seemed easier than the test packs I used. Boson 5.1 Netware Admin, and Exam Essentials.. I recommend using one of these 'cos alot of the questions are the same as in the exam... they must have done their work.. It wasn't adaptive.. and I'll be happy to take another one of these types..
good luck

Your absolutely right ... 653 is not that bad. I wouldn't say it's the easiest of them all but once you have done the proper studying and hands on or simulator work it's a breeze.
I have seen the Exam Essentials questions and they are very similar.

U might be lucky this time with the help of Boson and EE, but without them. The exam will look hard.
Another CNA.
Getting strong here!

Keep in mind is that the Novell Press v5.0 book gives you a pretty much full, three user version of the OS to mess with. I put together a cheapie Pentium system (133mhz 64 megs), a couple of DLink combo NICs, 3 feet of coax and could mess with NWAdmin, setting up DNS/DHCP, ZENworks. About the only thing missing was setting up full SSL security and PKI.
