Sounds like you and I are in the same boat.
To the best of my knowledge, you can still get your CNE by completing the 4.11 path like you started and finish up by taking the NW4.11>NW5.0 upgrade...for a total of 8 tests. Looks like you are lacking D&I(test#50-634), an elective of your choice, and the 4.11>5.0 upgrade (test#50-638). I would try to get these completed ASAP...as Novell is moving along and who knows when they will dump a test.
Go for it...your almost there!
...............................
Whoa! Shows how much my knowledge is worth. I checked out the Novell CNE progress chart at http://www.novell.com/education/cne/cneprog.pdf
and what do you know...the 50-638 test is retired as of the last of Sept. 2000 ...soooo, I guess it's 50-652 or your choice.
Sorry for the misinformation.

Bug_razer I do not work with Novell and it has been two years since I study Novell. How hard is the D&I 50-634 EXAM and what elective would you say is the easiest or they all about the same. I was thinking about using Exam Essentials to study for the test, what do you think....

Funny you should ask....but I just finished taking the D&I exam two hours ago and did fine. Fifteen question adaptive test dealing with partitioning, replicas, time sync, NTP time sync, WAN manager etc.. I used Exam Cram books and EE to study. I'm not real sure about the electives...but I will be studying TCP/IP so I guess it's the area I will focus on although I'm having difficulty finding up-to-date info on the what's covered on the test.
I would strongly recommend going back a few months in this forum and look at the Q&A from some of the members...see what books they used and what practice exams they prefer. Also, peruse through the other Cert. catagories and see what's going on with them too. Without a doubt, EEssentials is the product for my money. Good Luck
