go to www.novell.com/education for the track information. if you are mcse, you can waive the networking technologies test. same as if you are network+.

here's the link to the waiver: http://www.novell.com/education/waiver/waiverform.pdf

helan.

if you are serious, you really need to look up this stuff... there's all kinds of information at the links listed in the previous messages. if you are MCSE, you can waive ONE of the REQUIRED or CORE tests -- Networking Technologies (050-632) -- with the waiver form i provided the link for in the last message. you will then need to take the Admin test (050-639, 645, or 653). the Advanced Admin test (050-640 or 654). Design and Implementation (050-634 or 659). Service and Support (050-635). you will then need to select ONE elective. options are: Internet Security with Boarder Manager (050-642 or 650), Management Using Managewise (050-641), Integrating NetWare and Windows NT -- which should be a breeze for you since you are an MCSE and is the route i took (050-644), GroupWise Admin (050-633), Oracle DB Operator (050-436), TCP/IP (050-649), Desktop Mgmt with ZENworks (050-656).

so, you will have to take FIVE (5) tests. it's all right here: http://www.novell.com/education/certinfo/cne/nw5.html

good luck.

yes, it will be tough. but, since you have MCSE, the course 555 (integrating netware and windows nt) should be easy for you. the questions i missed on that test were all nt related.

i have heard that CNE is tougher than MCSE but i don't think tougher than CCNA.

good luck.

helan...

i can't speak for employers in your country since i have no clue as to what the market is like for network administrators and the like. however, i can say this with confidence, EXPERIENCE EXPERIENCE EXPERIENCE... if someone doesn't have the experience, the certifications that person collects is hardly worth the paper on which the certifications are printed.

my personal opinion about you and a CNA/CNE is that you should do it -- i'd say it's more important than the Network+ certification you mentioned could be your next. and if i was in your shoes, i'd be looking on IT job websites in your area or where ever you're going to find such listings and see what the demand is for Novell Certified Professionals... you could even try contacting Novell directly, i'd image they should have some information about the market in malaysia.

since you do have several certifications, i think you would be able to achieve your CNA/CNE as well. but it really boils down to experience when being considered for a job.

good luck.
