I don't know if everyone studying for any CIW track is aware of this, but recently Intel announced a joint venture of sorts with CIW. This was actually made known about 3 months ago. The exams are incorporated into the e-Business track of the Intel Certified Integration Specialist program. If you're interested, go to www.intel.com/training/certification. I need 2 of Intel's proprietary certs and CIW security professional and I'll achieve this level.

Please resubmit a valid URL. I tried to access the shortcut listed in your post and received a 403 (Forbidden Access Error).

Thanks,

Dave

Let's see if this works. http://www.intel.com/training/certi...talog/north.htm

If it doesn't, I'll keep posting until it goes through.

I realize this is unnecessary to point out, but the original URL was, indeed, valid. It appears that the URL recognition part of the message board incorrectly added the sentence-ending period to the URL. So, instead of going to the "certification" directory and finding the default document, the Intel web server would try to execute a CGI program named "certification" inside the "training" directory which doesn't have such permissions. At that point, it threw out an "execute permission denied" error.

Like I said, I realize this doesn't matter due to the following posts which corrected the URL. But I find it strangely fascinating to figure out stuff like this. Plus, hey, I'm sure this is the sort of stuff to expect on the Intel foundations exam, since I'm studying for the i-Net+ myself

cheers,
Mark MCP+SB
