I guess it hasn't been a year since I've been posting here and it's been great, but all good things must come to an end.
It seems many don't agree with my hard line against braindumps. Yep, I can be harsh and flippent at times, probably ruffling a few feathers along the way, so rather then become a distraction to a great site, I'll pack up and move on. Maybe 2 years of answering questions on various sites is too much without a break
In any case, I loved my time here and learned alot, so thank you all!
Yankee

That's a HUGE loss for this forum... Please say it's not because my recent post about closing threads! Or at least not only because of that!

Please don't go, Yankee... we need you!
If you allow dumpsters to drive you out of the forum, they win, and we lose a great friend and comrade.
Please reconsider... please.

I would second the feelings of the others here in saying that your leaving would be a HUGE loss. I certainly look forward to your insightful answers to many of the questions that have been posted here. I think there are many here that have benefited from your input even if they don't post to the threads.
I know we won't always agree on everything here, but let me assure you, I want you here!
I was really looking forward to a DC gathering so that I could meet you there.
Yankee...say it ain't so!

Hey Yankee
If your busy, we understand, but like every one else i agree it would be a big loss to have someone of your commitment leave this forum. If you do go best of luck in what ever you do.
Remember " you can checkout any time you want....... but you can never leave!"
If I wanted to be terribly British i think i would now say something like
Three cheers for Yankee. Hip Hip, Hooray. Hip Hip Hooray. Hip hip hooray.
But I wont cos it naff.

I've been lurking this forum for quite a while now, and I must say that, in my opinion, Yankee is almost solely responsible for making this forum readable.
I'm not saying that he necessarily has the highest technical competence of anyone here, nor do I believe I'm qualified to make that judgement.
I am, however, saying that without Yankee, the wisdom of other dedicated minds such as Skipster, MadChef, Deets etc would probably be lost in a brain-stunning, apathy-inducing, never-ending stream of requests for everything and anything that some people think will give them the magical edge they need to pass.
In conclusion, without at least one moderator with slightly fascistic (sorry Yankee tendencies, this truly great forum, which I believe to be unparalleled in the area of certification, runs a high risk of slowly but surely withering up and die.
Peace,
/creamy

Seriously Yankee, people in this forum NEED you and your life experiences.
Simply take a break and revitalize your motor.
If its worth anything to you,,,I was considering checking out some dumps/Brains. After hearing how everyone feels, I have elected to pass this test dump free.
I feel as though the material is worth learning since I hope to be working with this technology. Not just another accronym for the resume ya know.
Thanks for listening yank/ee,,And by the responses I hope you dont leave for awhile.
Silky.

Yankee,
Don't go man!! You along with all the other moderators on this forum have so much wisdom that to lose one of you especially because of a difference of opinion feels like lost a lot more the an intellectual mind.
You are a leader and leaders dare to do things that the average person tends not to do, like making a stand for their beliefs. It seems that if you throw in the towel now, you will be giving up on something you feel passionate about.
Reconsider you decision, please! Apart of leadership is understanding that we unfortunately aren't going to please everyone.
When a situation like this knocks to down make sure you land on your back, 'cause if you can see up.... YOU CAN GET UP!!!!
GET UP AND BE THE LEADER YOU ARE!!!!!
Cy...
p.s Sorry about the babble!! :-)

Hey Yankee;
Anything I could say would just be a repeat of what has already been said. I've been watching the dumps post and I hope that that isn't the reason why you're leaving as moderator.
I think everyone here (those who posted and those who haven't) agree with your statement regarding dumps. If you do go, we not only loose a large part of this forum, but also kind of like a member of an extended family (I guess for those of us who have no life of our own!! Geez, I think I need a kleenex now...)
Anyways, don't go!!
JerryL
(Pass the kleenex guys, ok?)
