Mike Meyer's All-in-one Net+ book
Is Mike Meyer's N+ book good enough to pass the Net+ test? I studied the
book few times and I passed all the practical exams on the extra CD that I
bought with no problems. However, when I tried to do other practice exams
from other source, I felt so helpless and weak. Some of the stuff from the
questions didn't cover in Mike's book and I funk the practice test. I am
just wondering which source I should rely on. I already schedule to take the
test on this Sat. Any advices? Maybe I should reschedule the exam.

Re: Mike Meyer's All-in-one Net+ book
If you don't have any/much experience, conventional wisdom found in the
group says read more than one source. I used the passport to Net+ and the
Network+ Study Guide (Groth). I didn't get all of the way through the
second book, but I did find it interesting comparing material in both books.
For me, between writing notes from the books, memorizing about 15 port #'s,
and using freecomptia.com practice quizes worked. I scored a 793 and am now
happily certified and working on I-Net+.
If you have doubts, give yourself another two weeks AFTER you get a second
book. Take the practice quizes like you're seeing them for the first time.
In other words, don't start to read a question and then answer it in your
head because you know the answer. The wording in the actual test may be a
little different and your "memorized" answer will be wrong.
HTH!

Re: Mike Meyer's All-in-one Net+ book
I would say probably just, but bear in mind those troubleshooting question
they are tough, having just passed exam you really do need to give yourself
higher and wider knowledge on the subject, that reading one book would give
you. I have read 3 different titles and still only managed a score of 793. I
can't over state enough the importants of practical experience will bring
you for those trouble shooting question you'll find on the exam (approx 50%)
