As Linux gains in popularity, many people are dabbling in it, as I have for a while. For many the information out there is sometimes overwhelming or not written clearly for people just wanting things to be spelled out simply to begin with. For many I'm sure "RTFM" still makes you scratch your head.
For those of us who just want simplified documentation, have a look around the Apple OSX forum sites. Because OSX sits on top of Darwin BSD, and many MAC people have never used a command line; there is some great documentation out there written so that anyone can understand it. A lot of the information is easy to read, introducing people to the world of Unix and how to use the terminal environment. This site has a nice introduction to using the terminal:
