Passing score for MCSD exams

Despite my extensive research, I have not been able to find anywhere what
the baseline passing score is for the various MCSD/VC++ exams. I understand
they're probably frequently adjusted to control the masses. Just out of
curiosity, if anyone's taken any exam recently, what score was he required
to meet?

I find it strange that this is not readily available information. I should
expect to find it published on Microsoft's web site. Or is it withheld to
make the exams seem more "challenging"?

Re: Passing score for MCSD exams

In September 2002 passing score for exam 70-016 was 534/1000
and 540/1000 for exam 70-015, but today you propably will get only pass or
fail status.

Re: Passing score for MCSD exams

You only need to answer 40% of the question right, and randomly choose the
rest 60% questions at a 25% randomly choosing correction rate, you could
pass.

40% + 60% X 25% = 55%

It is too easy.

Or, if you could answer 25% of the question 100% right, and elemininate one
incorrect choice (out of four) for each of the remainning question, you
already get 50% : 25% + 75% X 33% = 50%. The remainning 4% comes from a
little better eleminination of incorrect choices.

If you are sure your experience could cover 40% of requirement and answer
the 40% questions with 100% sure, you should go for the exam.

Isn't it easy?

I never prepared for the VC6 exam, and passed it.
