Network Engineer
Need some ideas on making the transition into
network engineering type of positions.
What areas do I need to be proficient in
What types of entry level positions should I be shooting for.
I have been too broad with my career goals and I am trying to dial in on where I want to be in the long run which is e-commerce infrastructure development.
Any help would be appreciated

For Network Eng you will probably have to start from the ground up which means running and terminating cables then work your way up

I think you have to have a little bit of "right place, right time" going for you too. It's just that in the current times, there are Network Engineers with 10 years experience out of work.
Good luck. Maybe things will change

If you have some expericnce with networks you can try doing rollouts or you could try going for a degree in something real close
