Lightbulb Braindumper may get 18 months in prison!!!

In anticipation of Robert Keppel's sentencing hearing in federal criminal court this Friday, the U.S. Attorney's Office filed a recommendation with the court yesterday that the owner of the now defunct Cheet-Sheets.com and CheetSheets.com Web sites serve 18 months in federal prison...

Braindumping doesn't pay! You'll either find yourself a paper cert in over your head because you cheated, or in a federal "pound me in the a$$ prison!"

Hmmmm, mate. Did you notice that further in the article that if Microsoft makes a civil action that it could get it's hands on the contact details of the people who bought the products? If so, it sounds like there could be people stipped of their MCP/MCSA/MCSE.

That's a bit harsh, isn't it? I think a caning would suffice.

I dont think that stripping people of their MS certs that subscribed to the site would be fair, but something definately needs to be done to reduce/eliminate this braindump epidemic.

I would agree to stripping their certs, but what about the people that signed up to the site, looked it over and decided it was unnecessary or not what they wanted? I'm sure more than a handful of people have done that. So I'd recommend that they have the suspected members of the site take a recertification test. A condensed version covering the topics that they took before. But then whats to stop those people from braindumping again?

By doing that MS would also open a can of worms by essentially singling out only the members of that site while many others that used different sites get away scot-free.

It's an endless controvery with no real solution in sight for the near-future, but it can make for a neat topic here.

all the more reason why microsoft needs a lab exam.

if they retest the cheaters, they will have a few eggs pass then braindump the recertification answers.

they should be bagged up and dropped into a river, like kittens.
