I would say either the exam or the comand line.
If you've got the experience with OSPF, redistribution, etc. then you're probably ready for the test. If you don't have the experience, you should probably spend some time in front of the command line watching debugs and such to get that experience.
There's nothing on that exam that can't be simulated using two routers back to back.

I've been thinking about this for a while now... Can you do ISDN (both BRI and PRI) with two routers back to back? What I mean is no phone company in between.

Cheers!

No, you can't, but that's not covered in BSCN. You need an ISDN simulator at the least if you want to be able to watch q931 and such.

Any recommendations for "ISDN sim"? Ever played with one?

Cheers!

Teltone at http://www.aherncorp.com/teltone/isdn.shtml

They run about 2 grand, so it's often times cheaper to just get a couple of ISDN lines.
Also, you can't change the spids on the lower end model so you can't get two of them and try to do multilink over two devices. The come with both an NT1 and U interface. Nifty.
