Help ODBC Problem with Universe On AIX

Hi friends,
When I try to connect to universe database using ODBC It gives the error message
Facility: DBCAPERR Severity: ERROR Error ID: 46 Extern error: 73144 Message: UCI
Error. Func: SQLConnect(); State: IM985; uniVerse code: 73144; Msg: [Ardent][SQ
L Client][RPC] error code = 73144.

I dont know what is the reason for that
If Some body can help me. I will Appriciate it greatly.

On the install there was an option to install the UVODBC package. Did you install it? This could also be a licensing problem.

Help ODBC Problem with Universe On AIX

Hi friend,
I have install the UVODBC package.
What do you mean by license problem.
Can you please tell me how to check the license has install or not. And How to install the license.

You have to call customer service and get a seperate liense key to license the UVODBC server software. Then as root go the the uniVerse installation directory and run a uv shell. From the main menu go to package/license admin and proceed from there.
