I was reading is some documentation that there are some IGRP timers set to 15 seconds. I cannot find any information on this. I though the update timer for IGRP was 90 seconds. Does anyone know what this 15 second timer could be ????
Thanks.

The timers basic command will allow an admin to manually set the IGRP update timer.
BTW, you are right, the default update timer for IGRP is 90 seconds.
Supposedly, if you change the update timer, the holddown, route invalid, and route flushed will increase or decrease proportionally to the IGRP update timer.
Here's a link from Cisco's site:

Hope this helps.

Batman,
I was just reading the Exam Prep and ran into that question, the book says 15 sec. I am sure that a mistake. 90 sec. is correct.
Happy Studying
