Very sad indeed. I worked for Bank of America until July of last year. They
laid off 300+ employees in Miami Lakes in order to outsource Customer Serv
to California. I was getting $12/hr but in Cali, they got people for $6/hr.
Pretty sad if you ask me.
Even sadder...after getting laid off I got my A+, Net+, MCSE, MCSA, CCNA and
CCDA and I got 1 callback from 210+ resumes I sent out over the course of 6
months. MCSE's down in Miami are only making $14 an hour. I make more as a
sales rep! For those of you working on the certs, check out the jobmarket
before committing.
