Any last minute CCIE advice?

In 72 hours, there abouts, I will be in RTP, in the midst of the CCIE R/S
lab...

I was wondering if any of the CCIEs around had any last minute advice,
things to watch for, etc... I am not looking for any brain dump things, just
things you would have liked to have known about (generally) that you didn't
the first time you took your lab...

Assuming you are well-prepared technically, the absolute best thing you
can do is MANAGE YOUR TIME.

That is the hardest thing. Dont blow a half hour on three points,
especially when there are no dependencies for future points. Take the
first ten or twenty mins to allocate time according to point values and
stick to your plan. It is really nerve racking to do this especially
when you see everyone else starting to work. But it will pay off.

Good Luck!

perhaps a little reverse psychology, act like you don't care if you pass or
not , not that I would know yet. Work like you don't have to, dance like
nobody is watching.

I already have a plan of attack for stuff...

First 5 mins to type out my script, with aliases, console settings, etc...
(I have timed myself repeatedly to type the following script:

line con 0
exec-timeout 0 0
history size 256
logging synch
password cisco (or whatever requirements say)
line vty 0 4
password cisco
login

enable password cisco
no ip domain-lookup
ip routing
ip multicast-routing

alias exec c show run
alias exec t config t
alias exec w write mem
alias exec ses show ses
alias exec pr show ip prot
alias exec dr debug ip rout
alias exec i show ip rout
alias exec o show ip ospf
alias exec co clear ip ospf proc
alias exec b show ip bgp
alias exec cb clear ip bgp *
alias exec ci clear ip rout *
alias exec e show ip eigrp
alias exec br show ip int brief
alias exec in show interface
alias exec oi show ip ospf int)

Next 20 mins to diagram the requirements
Next 45 mins to bring up all of layer 2 (including ISDN, FR, ATM and Enet
links...)
Next 45 mins to bring up IGP.
Next 1 hour to bring up BGP...
Next 30 mins to knock out NTP and NAT (if they are on the exam).
Next 30 mins to check requirements for the above have been met, the way they
are supposed to be met, write mem, reboot, and check that everything is
still working.
LUNCH
90 mins for DLSW+, Voice, HSRP, Queuing and Traffic shaping (if any)...
30 mins for DHCP and Multicast (if any)...
1 hour for assesment that requirements have been met.
30 mins for IPsec/Security stuff...
Remaining time for anal retentive double checking.

I think this schedule will hold... barring any major brain-farts (forgetting
network types in OSPF... or something)... I should be able to maintain
this...

Manage your time. I aggree, it is the main factor. You have to be strong
when you hear the other people tapping on their keyboards.

Good Luck
