I'm at a fork; MCSA or CCNA
Hi all...
I just finished up the A+ stuff this past week; I've also got my Network+. I want to keep the momentum going so to speak.
I'm at a point now where I can't decide which way to go next, MCSA or CCNA. I've got experience in both, but day to day, I use more MS skills. But I also like the fact the CCNA is one test.
And I'm also hearing about the MS 2003/.Net exams. I don't want to get half way through and and have to re-start with .Net exams.
I'm hoping to make a job change too with the help of the new cert; wether it be a MCSA or CCNA.
In any case, I welcome all opinions and insight.
Thanks,

ccna
Take the ccna first, then go for the mcsa, to get that you need 4 exams, or 3 from microsoft and 2 from compitia, get your ccna first then go for microsoft tracks, thats what i think.

CCNA is 1 exam, MCSA is 4 exams /Your A+ and N+ are counted as an elective, so MCSA is 3 exams for you/. Consider this first!

Consider what you want to do, what your qualified for and then start with the one that best matches that goal. Keep in mind that after you take your mcp pro you'll want to take server soon after because of the overlap. And if you take ccna first you'll have that and an mcp before you get your mcsa. This will give you a broader knowledge base.

Do both, when you get bored of studying for the microsoft stuff, play with some cisco or the other way around, right now I'm kind of studying for 70-215, 70-216 and 70-218 as well as my I-Net+ really, but there's always dabbling about trying to figure out what to do next, though I am kind of busy right now with full time college plus night classes and then online courses. The night classes and online courses are to bring up my college marks so I can get into Uni. Alright, this is going way into my personal life, but, do both, don't really pick one or the other, just do whatever you feel like when you want too.
