Tomorrow i was going to give the exam for pix old format 9E0-571 . Then testing center give me a call and said that they had recieved an email from prometric that this exam is expired . I had checked in the cisco site but could'nt find out something like this . I had heard that pix,vpn & ids exams were going to expire on 28th february and after that you can give only new format exams which are 9e0-111(pix) , (#9E0-100 CSIDS)and (9E0-121 CSVPN) . I h ad allready passed MCNS old format (ver.2) . NOW WHAT ?

If you have registered before 17Jan03 you could have taken the test by the end of Feb. when did you register for the exam. You can check Cisco retired exams web site:

Thanks for your feed back . I think so now i have to give new exam format . I had heard that there are simulators in the new exam format is it correct ?

go take the new exam! its nothing to worry about if you know your material. There are simulations on the exam but they are super easy and you could do em in your sleep.

I had read pix book very well plus i had done few installations on pix too . I am little bit confused because of simulators bcoz i have'nt give any exam which is having simulators plus typing commands . Lets see what will happen i may give my exam on this sunday or monday because before world cup i wana finish VPN also .
